LEGO AR Kiosk Rolled-Out Worldwide

The LEGO Group is currently rolling out its augmented reality DIGITAL BOXES to all LEGO® Brand Retail Stores worldwide after a successful evaluation phase that started in November 2008. The innovative augmented reality technology inside the DIGITAL BOX was developed and constantly improved over the last months in a partnership with metaio. The DIGITAL BOX is widely seen as one of the best use-cases for AR until now. Find a movie: here


 

junaio on Android will have camera tracking

On its way of being a multi-platform AR experience browser junaio now offers an Android version, the closed BETA can be accessed now. The client version is expected to be released by mid-may. The most important new and unique feature will be a natural feature tracking, which can be integrated into channels. Print meets Online meets Taiwan

Our partner in Taiwan PolygonWorks has done a very nice project connecting two classic and classy print magazines by Condé Nast Taiwan to the online world. In the current issues of GQ and VOGUE there is additional, multimedia online content to be accessed on the related websites of the magazines. A movie can be found: here


 

Annual Report by RTL Group is Augmented

The design agency "ringzwei", together with Integrated Media Production company "Produktionsschmiede" and our visual content partner  "die bildproduktion" have created an interactive product experience for the annual report of the RTL Group, one of the biggest media houses in the world. The high quality print product was connected with various multimedia content on the corporate website, the application was launched during the annual report`s press conference. DNP Japan and metaio enter the collectible`s market

DNP Japan has teamed up with metaio for the first iPhone app addressing the collectible´s market. The application connects physical game cards "Dice-O" with multimedia content and was developed together with Japan´s leading toy maker BANDAI. AR for KRAFT Foods in Mexico

Eria, our Mexican partner created an online game: "Tang - sabores de campeonato" (Championship flavors) together with Ogilvy Mexico for their customer KRAFT. Right before the highly anticipated world cup season this online game is giving children the opportunity to utilize the beverage packaging as interaction device for an augmented reality soccer game. Special flavors will be available for the soccer world cup season and the user will use them to control a kicker in the penalty area. Experience it: here
